A moderated discussion on the impact of the COVID 19 pandemic on the international sporting landscape. We bring together a group of sports business professionals from across the globe who's activities have been disrupted in varying ways. The panel will explore the repercussions of the disruption and consider what the future holds for sport.

Biographies:

With over 20 years experience in the sports industry, Mark Mateer, CEO at Quantum Consultancy, is an expert in the strategic and operational planning of major events and multisports games. He is engaged as an advisor on a number of major projects and events, guiding rights owners, organising committees and host cities on the optimal approach to event planning, delivery and legacy. Mark is also Johan Cruyff Institute’s agent in Ireland and Scotland.

Luis Horna, former professional ATP tennis player and Peruvian team captain for the Davis Cup from 2011-15, is director at IGMA Sport, director at Horna Venero Tennis Academy and director of the Peruvian National Games 2021.

Pedro Silva is United World Wrestling Executive Bureau Member, President of the Wrestling Federation of Portugal and Executive Board Member of the Sports Confederation of Portugal.

Maggie Murphy is general manager at Lewes FC, a semi-professional fan-owned club and the world’s first to distribute revenue equally between its male and female teams. She has a background in anti-money laundering, anti-corruption and human rights. Maggie held a senior advocacy role at Transparency International prior roles at Amnesty International and Minority Rights Group International.
